Two and a half years ago I met a stranger...
Today this stranger is my best friend.
Had I not taken the time to write you a penpal letter...
and you having not taken the time to answer...
I would not have known you as the wonderful person you are.
I am thinking of you on this special day...
as I know that you've called me for no other reason than to just say hello
You have shown great kindness, gentleness...and a great friendship
Thank you for being there....and....for being my friend

A part of you is put into your friends...
some it is your humor...
some it is your listening ear...
some it is real life experiences...
but with all, it is friendship from you.

Friends, you and me...
I brought another friend...
and then there were 3...
We started our group...
Our Circle of Friends...
and like that Circle...
there is no beginning or end....
This is something special I wanted to add........
because you are so wonderful

Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty.  But everything else starts to wear out, fall out, or spread out.    Middle age is when you have stopped growing at both ends, and have begun to grow in the middle.   A woman has reached middle age when she is cautioned to slow down by her doctor instead of by the police. You once told me mommie...that there are three signs of old age. The first is one's loss of memory, the other two you forgot.......so I guess I'll never know them.........LOL!    Thanks for being there...and for being a great friend.
